I am so excited to start these weekly digests and thank you so much for being part of this new venture of mine!
ChatGPT Tip of the Week
We don’t really know yet whether Google would ever want to go after AI-generated content, but here’s the perfectly safe way to use ChatGPT for writing: Let it improve your current content!
Step 1: Copy paste your whole article into ChatGPT prompt
Step 2: Give ChatGPT the following prompts one by one:
What is this article missing? What should I add? (Feel free to provide your target keyword too!)
How can I structure my article better? Add more H2-H3 headings to break it into more sections
Create a table of contents based on the article’s headings
Generate a table to summarize the key points of the article
Generate 3-5-question FAQ on this topic (to put this section at the end)
Generate key takeaways of this article (to put at the beginning)
Using these elements will improve your article! And it takes minutes too. It’s a great idea to use ChatGPT to update your old pages that are losing rankings (to republish them to a fresher date). Here’s an example of a summary ChatGPT generated for my recently article on domain names:
This summary makes it a much easier to understand article!
Tools of the week!
PagePerfect: A tool by an old friend BrentDPayne to generate optimized content. A great new idea to test out this week!
Quillbot: This tool had introduced generative AI capabilities before ChatGPT did. It costs nothing to try and you don’t even have to login! It includes a plagiarism and grammar checkers and a powerful summarizer create content summaries and social media captions! This is my affiliate link in case you choose to upgrade.
Consensus is an AI-driven search that focuses on research papers. It is a great way to find relevant studies summarized by an AI algorithm based on your initial query. In other words, it is like Google Scholar but its results can be understood by any person (not just scholars) because they are reworded in simple words by AI. This search engine is a huge help in creating trustworthy well-research content as well as finding data for your linkable assets, like infographics and whitepapers.
This freemium Google Spreadsheets app allows you to export Search Console data that will include both the search query and the page. This saves a ton of time! You can also create free archives of your SC data. Here’s an example of an export that was generated by the app:
Must-reads!
In case you missed it, I covered a few cool social media tools to help your link building campaigns! It highlights the use of Twitter search to find individual profiles based on keywords and common connections for introductions. The article also mentions FollowerSearch for finding Twitter profiles with specific terms in their bios, Twitter Lists and TweetDeck (now available to paying Twitter users only) for building relationships and engaging with relevant profiles, Drippi for identifying and filtering Twitter accounts of interest, Devi for lead generation and outreach on various platforms, and IGFollow for extracting Instagram followers and users using specific hashtags.
Buzzsumo has published their huge PR content syndication study offering their users an insight into how they can publisize their stories further.
They have found that almost 90% of the top 100 publications link out to other publications in the top 100 and localized stories are the most likely to get syndicated. Additionally, getting featured in Business Insider will most likely help your story get story syndicated to other powerful publications. The strongest cross-syndication networks are Reach PLC (Mirror, Daily Star, etc.), News Corp (The Sun, The Times), and The Daily Mail Group.
And which tools and articles have you discovered this week?
Some useful tools thanks for sharing.
