Hi Ann, That was a really smart test! Now, what happens when you 1) change it back, 2)request indexing?

I did that already, right after the experiment. As soon as the page was reindexed, both ChatGPT and Gemini claimed there was no company name to be found on the page

But did you try without reindexing it? Do you think they have access to Google's indexed SCHEMA, or the main content and SCHEMA?

Yup, going back I used the same steps:

- Removed the visible company name (kept schema)

- Prompted both (they still reported the visible company name even though it was removed, but not schema)

- Reindexed the page

- Verified it is reindexed (through URL inspection tool that shows the saved version of the page)

- Prompted both, and they said there was no company name on the page.

Using PRO accounts on both ChatGPT and Gemini

Google indexed the schema (verified through Search Console) but both ChatGPT and Gemini refused to see it. They only read the visible, reindexed HTML
